Electrical Fundamentals SkillsCheck for Skilled Trades is designed to evaluate core knowledge of basic electrical principles required across skilled trades.
This SkillsCheck assessment evaluates the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to understand electrical concepts, circuit behaviour, and component functions, and includes key competencies such as:
- Basic electrical theory (atoms, electrons, conductors, insulators)
- Measurement units including voltage, current, resistance, and power
- Ohm’s Law and electrical calculations
- Electrical components such as switches, fuses, transformers, and resistors
- Magnetism and electromagnet principles
- Electrical safety concepts and grounding
How It's Used
